RALLY- Mount Manresa must be saved 12 Noon Rally on Tuesday

Today it was announced in the Staten Island Advance that our injunction denied and the leave to sell granted.  The restraining order on trees and structures remains in place only until the order is finalized and entered.  This does not mean that Mount Manresa cannot be saved.  Our goal remains to preserve Mount Manresa and make a park for the public. We must continue to make our voices heard!  WE NEED YOU!

Mount Manresa includes some of the oldest trees in New York City still standing, a bird migratory rest stop, and other natural treasures (and historic buildings) is being sold to the Savo Brothers, developers known for cutting down trees and tearing down historic houses TO BUILD TOWNHOUSES/STRIP MALLS/AND CONDOS.   Staten Island deserves better.

Our grassroots group, Save Mount Manresa, is working with several non-profits and state groups to turn it into a PUBLIC PARK.   This battle is coming to a crucial point. We must show Staten Island that this piece of land is invaluable.   And so, we will protest. And write letters. And do all that we can as a community.
